Softripe ripening chambers range from one pallet level to multi-level pallet levels, and can be customised to suit individual needs.
The chambers are built with a CA gas-tight quality, with special CA-gas-tight doors. The quality of the seal on the cells and gates can not be compared to conventional ripening chambers. Classical ripening refers to gastight chambers and gates which maintain an ethylene gas concentration in the ripening chamber for a short period of time.
The tightness of the seal and chamber pressure resistance are much higher in the case of Softripe® ripening chambers.
In order to achieve a complete controlled atmosphere, for optimum fruit ripening, additional technical equipment, such as nitrogen generators and CO2 adsorbers are needed, as well as various necessary attachments. All of these devices have long been used in the field of modern fruit storage (such as apples). They work reliably and are tried and tested.
The air guidance and temperature control (heating and cooling) has been significantly optimised. An air humidity up to 98% can be achieved without additional moistening in the ripening chamber. This way, you can achieve the desired, optimally high tropical humidity for the fruit without the need for additional expenditure on energy.
